How can I promote my online resume writing business?

• I am an independent, professional resume writer. Up until this point, I was a full time teacher. Resume writing was my primary career during the summer and my part-time career during the school year. I have had to do very little advertising as most of my business comes from word of mouth referrals. However, I've had to take a medical leave from teaching after being diagnosed with Lupus. Now, resume writing is my full-time, primary focus. So, I'm looking for free or inexpensive ideas for promoting my website. I've found "LinkedIn" which is a decent website. Craigslist and Kijiji aren't very good because they only let you post to one city--and I serve clients across the U.S. I would appreciate any creative ideas! Thank you!!! :) Mrs. J.

  Write articles about resume preparation and post them on www.ezinearticles.com - they get indexed by Google quickly and will be found by people looking for resume help. Work on www.elance.com and post bids for resume building services. As your reputation grows you will get a good referral business. Still use Craigslist but post the same ad in the 10 largest cities nationwide. Or the largest city in each State. Most people who use Craigslist will also search the biggest city near them for goods and services. Good luck - great idea for a work at home solution!
