Can you make money off of Google Adsense by views rather than clicks?

  • I really want to put Google Adsense on my tumblr to make some money off of it, and I get quite a lot of daily visitors, but I'm not entirely sure if any of them would actually click on the ad. So, is there any way I could make money off of the ads without having anybody actually click the ad? I don't think there is, but I thought it would be worth figuring out.

    No, it is not possible for google adsense, you may try some other method which will pay you just on display add on your site.

You have to use Google's Adsense Channels to target your Adsense ads to your blog. It's no use having ads not related to your niche so Channels overcome this. You should also investigate putting other types of ads on your blog as Adsense returns are very minimal. Look at Clickbank and PayDotCom as there are widgets to use for blogs plus look at signing up as an affiliate for individual products.

Google Adsense is certainly click-based (CPC), so there is no way to make money by just showing your ads which is a CPM model (you get $x for 1000 impressions/views of ads). There are other ad networks you can consider outside of Adsense - try networks like Kontera, Infolinks, AdbRite and many more. They might pay you on a CPM basis.
