How to create a Country Specific website?

Cloning an external idea of website in my country is it legal?

  • Hi, during my internet browsing i found a website witch implement a very original idea, the owners of this website are from Australia and their company is based there too. So i loved the concept and really i'd like to create a similar website in my country, But i don't know if this action is legal in IT world or no??? for your information, there is an other website now based on the same idea too, and both target the international customers. but for me i think to target only the local customers for this moment. I hope that all points is clarified :) Thanks

I think it is probably legal because 'ideas' aren't generally copyrightable. I would suggest you don't directly rip them off though. I would suggest you see an IP (intellectual property) legal specialist if you are serious just in case!
