Twitter. Research how people are using Twitter. Don't just open an account without any strategy. First checkout how people are using it to promote and market their own stuff. Study who they follow on Twitter, what kinds of posts they Tweet, etc.

People on Facebook, Twitter and other such sites are there to chat and exchange photos and so on. So if you're wanting to sell your art you must advertise elsewhere. You need to keep a track record of how many hits you are getting daily or even break it down further...per hour. You should also have a break down if you have member's site if you can tack down where your customers are located for better advertisement attraction. Simple set up a portfolio or business advertisement booklet or brochure and mail them out to related business's to your website. You can also place empty content boxes on your website that says, "advertise here" and once they click on it they will find the details of what your requirements and payments are for placing an ad on your website.If you do this..don't forget your business licensees.
