Selling on ebay questions, i completely need help, plz be kind?

  • im 21 years old i live in Amman, Jordan (Middle East) i've recently been thinking about selling my own written eBooks on Ebay i Never ever sold anything there or have any idea how to start i started off ofcourse i made an account there. i will not ask about any shipping questions because my material will be downloadable, like pdf file , and ebook of 100 pages plus. but my question is, how do i get this going ? ok i have an HSBC bank account, lets say i wrote my ebook and placed it on ebay, so then how do i fix it that whoever buys online the funds would be transfered to my bank account im really sorry i need advice, but your knowledge and experience will be Greatly appreciated. tell me what else do i have to know about ebay, all i know that its a successful selling website worldwide, and im just trying to make extra money so i can live, since i like writing and i always do researches i thought i could be selling those short ebooks . please give me any advice anything will be helpful. and ofcourse, the best answer will be chosen for the most helpful person. and the rest will be appreciated for their help as well ofcourse thank you

    hi there, I advise you to register with www.paypal.com regarding for you to receive payment and later transfer the fund to your HSBC account. PayPal is much easier for international customers as it is used majorly worldwide. When you start listing your eBook, put a declaration there saying that you fully own the eBook. (just search the term eBook on eBay to see how other seller list theirs) My personal opinion selling eBook on eBay, if you see the trend there, some sellers even sold their eBook at 99 cents or even lower than that. Everyone is searching for cheap stuff thus the low price and less margin for you. But hey, you know what, fortunately guys like yourself who are born writers can indeed make money by offering writing service (rewrite article, write unique articles that will pass the www.copyscape.com , write SEO article, write product reviews and etc). Check out these sites to sell your service : fiverr.com , microworkers.com, odesk.com, elance.com basically all the freelance website that is on the net. But if you still insist on selling ebooks then i suggest you sell at tradebit.com , warriorforum.com, forum.digitalpoint.com and many more. Hope that helps

First of all, ebay is a great place to sell products but in your case I would not recommend ebay for you because you cannot sell downloadable ebooks. You can sell for a fixed price on ebay, but for the most part it's an auction site. I've never heard of anyone selling ebooks on ebay. I would suggest trying Amazon instead. I know that doesn't really answer your question, but that's my advice. Hope it helped!

ebay is not the place to sell your own content (ebooks). Check smashwords (http://www.smashwords.com/) or Amazon- I am trying to post a link but it's bouncing the post, look for Amazon Self Publishing. Good luck in your endeavors!
