Where can I find demographic information on high-end audio buyers?

• I'm involved in a new business that is selling high-end home audio systems (average price of a system is $15,000). I already have a good understanding of my target market, but I'm wondering where I can find more specific information on demographics such as age, income level, education, marital status, geographic location, etc. Thanks for your help!! =)

  You've asked a more complicated question that it initially seems. If you already know the target market demographics then there are a number of GIS databases on the web that have this information taken from census collections. The programs are easy to use and very accurate. However, if you are wanting distribution within a city or city-block, as in siting a store location, that takes more work. Some county tax assessors webpages are ok. Other counties you can glen info from the Circuit Clerk, or you could screw with a commercial real estate agent and have them find you an open property to fit your target demos. There are also search data bases that do this for a fee similar to EDR. If you really are unfamilar with this stuff then I would go to a commercial broker / developer trade show and grab tons of info and property pamphlets - you can sometimes find where they are getting their info from the handouts.
