Acne problems! PLEASE HELP!!!?
-
I have always had great skin. But my senior year in high school my face slowly started to get taken over by acne. when it first started it was just when i had my period. but hen i noticed i kept gettign them and i freaked out! so i got proactive. that was a HUGE mistake. it made my face so much worse. So i stoped using it after 3 months. now ive been battling this acne n idk what to do anymore. So now its been a year since the start of this acne thing. i recently bought "dermalogica" which has sacylic acid instead of the benzyol because i heard i couldve had an allergic reaction to the benzoyl in proactive. and i at first it was like magic for 2 months after that i got a pizza face again. im so sick and tired of this acne. do you know any way to get rid of it!!!? i feel ugly n nasty all the time. Oh and on top of that im getting scars ALL OVER my face. i got to put an end this asap. thanks so much

Ok. I had the EXACT situation you have when I was eighteen. My skin was great until I hit my senior year. I still get acne sometimes. I DO believe it is mostly caused by hormones. My mom gave me this stuff called Finacea. I don't know where she got it but I think it was prescribed to her by a dermatologist. It clears up existing zits by drying them out. It helps alot. For the scars you're getting, I would use something like Aloe Vera or Vitamin E oil which is the best for clearing up scars. Make sure the pimple is dried out before you apply it though. Another thing that can help is working out! When you sweat, your skin releases all the toxins and your pores are nice and clean. After you shower, that is. Haha. Washing your face a whole bunch doesn't help. In fact, soap just irritates your skin and makes the zits more red and noticeable. Everyone's skin is different, but hopefully some of my suggestions help. Good luck :)

Hey i had the same problem senior year pimples started to show up on my sideburn area and jawline, just dont pick, drink water, tea, and juices, just use ordinary soap and try not to wash more then 2 times a day but what i believed really helped was taking Vitamin B5 it takes awhile but i got less and less breakouts i mean my acne wasent serious but still it has made my face 95 percent clear you may also want to try zinc supplements although i didnt find significant results with it
there isn't a way to get rid of it forever, but i think i can help. i think you need to stop using expensive acne products and go for a simpl, CONTIUOUS regime. you need to cleanse, tone and moistuize. i have some suggestions. if you don't have oily skin, use purpose gentle wash its found everywhere and is great, but not with oily skin. for oily skin, i suggest clearasil daily face wash sensitive skin, which i use myself. this is also found everywhere and is less than 5 dollars. for a toner, which doesn't suit everyone, i would use then nivea viage moisturizing toner. its super cheap as well, and works great for me. for the moisturizer, I use dove, but i have been using it for only a week so i don't know.... maybe cetaphil will be good for you, its sooooo gentle. but you can experiment with products because everyone's skin is different. good luck and buy these products!!!!!!!!
The scars issue led me to believe cystic acne. My mom totally had it when she was a teenager. There is now "store bought" cure for this. You have to go the dermatoligst (sp) adn they have to prescribe you medicine. If you dont go soon those scars can get worse. But dont quote me on this cause i dont want to cost you money and be wrong
I used to have acne really bad. First, you have to understand that everyone's skin is different. I usually use a toner to help even the complexion and you can find it anywhere like Walgreens or any drug store. The other thing that I use is a deep cleaning astringent. This will help clean the dirt, makeup, oil, and any other stuff that is clogging your pores and helps stop the acne. hope it works for you.
Ive dealt with acne for years now too but I finally got in under control, First drink plenty of water, eat healthy, its ok to have "junk" food sometimes though but eat mostly healthy if you can, take a multi vitamin, yes and zinc is good, evening primrose pills, now for the outside, I think acne is caused a lot by the products people use,try to avoid makeup and if you wear it always wash it off before bed,I use Physicians Formula Mineral powder and it hasnt given me any breakouts, for face wash you want to use something fragrance free and gentle, the less chemicals the better,I use cetaphil face wash and lotion. Try to use natural stuff, your acne could simply be a bad reaction from the soap you were using! Once you start using better things on your skin it will get better, not over night but after a few months of using gentle products you should see a good improvement! Good luck!
let me know sorry i dont have an answer for you!
