How can I remove a mole from my face?

• I've had this mole on my cheek for as long as I can remember... it's about the diameter of a pencil and is slightly raised. It didn't start bothering me until middle school (I'm a senior in high school now) when my dad started making comments about it. Over the years it has bothered me more and more. I'm never happy and I always think about it... it interferes with everything in my life... I hate it. I isolate myself from the outside and I haven't had a close friend in years. I was diagnosed with depression in 8th grade and my therapist would always ask if something was causing it, but I was too embarrassed to tell him. I've told my mother about it but she says we can't afford plastic surgery... I want to be happy again. I want to be able to have friends again and be a normal person. Are there any methods of at-home surgery that I could preform by myself? Any help is appreciated.

  Noooo, don't do at home surgery. I can understand that you don't like it. The best way is to have it cut out or frozen off by a dermatologist. It's a relatively quick procedure (depending on size...) but you have to deal with bandages and possible scarring resulting from it. If it really means a lot to you, go for it. It's no more than a few hundred dollars at MOST (I believe around 300 but don't quote me). It's really a simple and common procedure for a dermatologist. Hope this helps!
