Does Mederma really work for scars?

  • I've had lots of scars from mosquito bites and im tired of them and really need a product that will make them go away. Anything you can suggest that works is good, Thanks so much : )

    I've had a lot of surgeries and have used Mederma. None of them have gone away, but they are more pale/less red and raised than they were before....

I've seen the commercial for it on TV. They'll show a before and after picture, and then at the bottom of the screen in fine print, they write *Results Not Typical. So...I'm assuming that results are not typical? I've heard from some that Tea Tree Oil works well for scars. Of course, they will never completely go away, but you can try that and see if it helps. You should talk to your doctor or a dermatologist, they may be able to prescribe something stronger. Good luck!
