Does laser hair removal work?

Advice on huge patch of thick back hair laser hair removal didnt work!?

  • I am a 20 year old male, and have had hair all ober my body, but my huge patch of back hair has been an icreasingly annoying issue, its not only uncomfortable but embarising to have sticking out of my t shirt.. laser surgery 10 treatments i think didnt even work! Money well wasted.. whay do u ppl think?

    Hmm. Did you shave your back before getting it lasered? It needs to be shaved the night before your appointment. Also, did you go every 6 weeks? It's important to go every 6 to 8 weeks. Some of the hairs that the laser hits are dormant, meaning that they are not growing. So you need to go every 6-8 weeks to get the dormant hairs after they start growing. They also should offer you discounted treatments at this point. I got laser hair removal in between my eyebrows, a 6 treatment package for $450. I wanted a 7th one, and it was half price (normally it's $90 for one treatment, I only paid $45 because I had bought the package before). Ask if they have anything similar.

About the only thing that I can think of to help with a permanent hair removal of course hair would be electrolysis. This is different from laser hair removal and is cheaply done. (You can do it at home with some devices.) The small machines that you can buy and use yourself are more time consuming, but they are worth it in the end. You must keep in mind however, that no form of hair removal is definite. You may still end up with hair there when all is said and done, but the home electrolysis kits should at the very least reduce the amount of growth and the thickness of the hair after you have done it enough times.
