How do fingernails grow?

How to grow long fingernails?

• I'd like to have my fingernails long, like to the point where as you can see them when looking at the palm of me hand, and a lot of them. Besides the obvious 'be careful when touching things' rule, are there any other ways to make them grow faster/stronger? My fingernails are already strong, like they wont bend back if i push on them, they'll only break. Thanks!!

  I normally have great nails, but I did have a problem where they tore down into the nail bed (ouch). My doctor told me to start taking Biotin. It is what you need for nails. It's great and it works. As far as touching things, you will learn how to be careful with them. Long nails look great on a young woman's hand. I am 64 yrs and have had long nails since I was 11 years old. I didn't want nails like my mama's (bless her soul) she bit hers all the time. She did get nails later in life, when she got dentures. She couldn't bit them any more.lol
