Best Scar Removal Mederma or Prefer On?

Does Mederma help my Scar tissue from Belly piercing?

• I had my belly pierced in Feb 2010, i would clean it the right way and use the H20 spray, then four months later it starts to reject, the skin was thinner and dry, so i took it out and put a band aid over it, so it wont get infected then it healed and left me a red scar tissue =/ then in OCT 2010 i got it re-pierced...it looks like its doing okay (not rejecting)...but the redness is still there from the scar tissue.. the guy pierced it under the scar tissue...its been a few days that im using Mederma cream around the piercing to get rid of the redness, does that work?..i still have my belly ring and using the cream at the same time.. is that okay...Please help!, any suggestions???=]

  I definately would no use any cream. My daughter was allergic to the nickel in the piercings she got. So we bought pure titanium for piercings. No problems what so ever. Could be an allergy. My daughter had to have her piercings closed 3 times and redone until we figured it out.
