I am in the process of peeling after a bad sunburn but there is one part on my chest where im peeling where the skin is kinda hard and flaky. This has never happened to me before and i'm a little worried about why it is like that. Any suggestions?

Use a gentle cream for your chest, if it starts to get more irrated consult a docter. Don't peel the skin because this could cause a scar especially if it's thick pieces like you say it is
Moisturizing your skin at this point is very important as it makes it feel better and it helps it heal faster. So I suggest a moisturizer... with SPF to be safe... and if it starts to hurt then aloe gel. Another thing I heard of is to mix aloe juice with ½ the amount of vitamin E. Pat it on the sunburn. Vitamin E is a good moisturizer too. Good luck!
put lots of after sun lotion on
I am experiencing the same thing. Does your skin feel like lizard skin also? I just discovered the best cure and relief. HONEY~It works great. Another trick is after you wash your face, dry it slightly. Rub your face a little to make the dead skin break away. Get some scotch tape, apply it and gently pull off. It removes the dead skin, and then apply the honey. If you put too much on, your body heat will make it run off your face. Wipe lightly, leaving the remaining honey intact.
That's completely normal, don't worry. And go ahead and peel it off as long as it's completely dead and doesn't hurt.
Put the sunburn lotion on so it can help it not peel. GOOD LUCK :)
