What is it called when you have a hard bump on your heal?

I popped a pimple on my nose but it left a bump that just wont go away, what should I do?

• i popped a pimple on my nose like a week ago and a little bit of puss came out and the pimple didn't completely go away. I stopped squeezing when i saw blood come out but there was still a lump. I let it heal and didn't touch it after that but it left a darkish redish bump on my nose. It doesn't hurt or bother me much but it's unsightly and i don't know how to get rid of it. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try or what this thing might be called?

  You should NEVER pop a pimple. It's more likely to cause scarring, inflammation, scabbing and soreness. The puss is good, you want it in the pimple. It may not really look that nice, but puss shows that it's healing, and once the puss dries over, leave it be until it can fall off on its own like a scab would. You could try something like a hot compress, which might help draw out the puss and allow it to heal, or you can try ice to reduce swelling. I've never had success with ice, and I've never tried hot compresses. You can try DIY spot treatments like honey or tea tree oil, but I can't really recommend anything as no ingredient reacts the same for different people. My advice is to just leave it be. Since you popped it, or attempted to, you've basically caused trauma to the area. Have you ever scratched off a scab before it was ready to come off, and find that it takes about twice as long to heal than it normally would? Well, your pimple just needs more time to heal because you irritated it and caused trauma to the skin.
