Good Skin Care Routine (FACE)?

Clueless as to what skin care products and routine/ regime are good for face and body?

  • I am 24 and have only just really started doing a skin care routine for my face as I havernt been bothered up until now (which I know is terrible) all I did was my exfoliate face, plus also there are so many products I don't know what to use! For my body I have only been using any cheap shower gel! I do have Palmer's Cocoa butter formula but I havernt been remembering to use it. So anyway my skin is looking a lot better now on my face as i've started my routine but still has blackheads and is still a little bit bumpy but not spotty my current routine is:- 1. Garnier Skin Naturals 2 in 1 waterproof make-up remover 2. exfoliate using Nivea visage young daily deep cleansing scrub 3. exfoliate using Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser 4. add Nivea Visage young be beautiful tinted moisturiser I am completly clueless as to whether this routine is any good or what else I should be doing!! I also Have no idea what products are good? I don't mind paying $20 for a product but any more it's getting quite expensive though if a product is really really good I'm happy to save up to buy it, as I know products normally last a long time so its def worth the money in the long run espically is it means have beautifully clear skin!!. Please let me know what a good regime is for face and also for body and what products are good! Thanks ;-)

I'm 24 to and believe it or not, it's actually recommended when we hit mid twenties to start using some (not all) anti aging skin care products. You don't have to, but it is just a suggestion. Although I would recommend you discontinue the use of products designed for youth skin, in my opinion they're too harsh & I didn't even use products designed for youth skin when I was a teenager. I personally am a HUGE fan of Body Shop products. They're just that little bit more expensive but not by much, you would well & truly be able to stick to your budget, and they do last for some time as you don't need to use a great amount of the product at the one time. But that is just me personally, Garnier are also good for a more mainstream product and if you really wanted to splurge, Jurlique are absolutely amazing, expensive, but worth the cost. Your daily routine should consist of - Morning/Evening Cleanse (face) Tone (face) Moisturize (face) Moisturize (body - morning) Weekly Exfoliate (face & body) Mask (face) Masks are great for helping to unclog pores and help rid blackheads. And the rest is just maintenance, you'll find that once you get into a routine you don't even realize you're doing it & won't be likely to forget a product. One thing I do is I keep all my products in a basket so that when I pull out the basket and have everything staring me in the face and won't be likely to forget anything. Hope I helped :) http://thebodyshop.com/_en/_ww/index.aspx Oh also I work for the Body Shop so if you would like advice on products I'm more than happy to help :)
