Can I use mederma scar cream on my body acne?

  • I Have small scars on my chest more closer to my sides then in the middle of my chest and scars scattered on the top of my back. I have a school banquet in a couple of weeks and i was planning the wear a strapless dress but i can always get a cardigan for it, the problem is, i have a school dance and really want this strapless dress i dont want to wear a cardigan for this occasion because its awkward. The dance is in May and i was wondering if i can use mederma scar cream on my back and chest. I use lemons and honey frequently but i just want a little more help and want to see if i can use the cream. If i can which cream should i use, since i know the mederma line has a couple of creams but i want to know which one would be the best one to use on my back and chest. i have tried mederma before on my legs and it seemed to make the scars a lot less noticeable. thank you :)

    Mederma works, but it doesn't really work any better than cocoa butter. However any of these solutions take weeks or even months to work.

Mederma does work, but it needs longer than a couple of weeks. But if you started it now, it's possible you may see some fading by the time the dance comes around. Another idea is to start the Mederma now, so your skin is nicer for the summer. But in addition, for the dance, use an opaque, waterproof concealer/face makeup on the area. But try this out a couple of days in advance, so you can test to make sure it won't rub off while you're dancing.
