How can I get rid of a scar on my face?

I have a scar about 1 1/2" on the side of my nose and it's been there since I don't know when (but long) My scar can be described as; it has a rigid bump, a dark dirt looking stain (looks like an acne scar or when you pull out a dry scab) I tried a lot of method to get rid of it but nothing works. Some method I used: chemical peel whitening toner/cream/moisturer facial machine that works like a chemical peel facial loofah scrub pimple needle popper (to get rid of the bumps) I need help. I was thinking about laser surgery but I'm scare it'll make it worst.
