How to stop sweaty hands?

• I get sweaty hands sometimes and I don't know why, my hands sweat even if I'm not nervous, if I think about sweaty hands my hands start to sweat and get moist, it just does for no reason! Does anyone know how to cure it like using diys or home remedies or using hand lotions or something or washing my hands more?? Help!

  Hi, you can try using antiperspirants (like Secret/Gillette Clinical Strength, Certain Dri, or Hydrosal Professional) on your hands. Apply at night (before bed, when sweating is at its least) to completely dry hands (use a blow drier on cool setting if you need to) and gently massage thoroughly onto your hands. Some people use saran wrap after applying antiperspirants, but I do not suggest it can cause irritation to the skin. If this does not work, you should see your doctor as you may have a medical condition known as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). If over-the-counter antiperspirants do not work, your doctor may prescribe an antiperspirant. Or, you can ask about iontophoresis, which is a treatment that you can do at home. It consists of a device that uses a mild electrical current to thicken the outer layer of your skin, which prevents the flow of sweat to the skin's surface. There are several iontophoresis devices on the market, but the more effective ones may require a prescription from your physician (try R.A. Fischer Co.). Some people also try Botox injections for excessive sweating of the hands, but not all physicians perform these injections. So, you'll need to find a skilled physician.
