What self tanning lotion works the best?

Does self tanning lotion help hide psoriasis?

• Hey, I've had psoriasis for going on 3 months. I have red lesions on my legs and arms & I've been trying to think of a way to hide it but i can't think of anything, but i heard tanning helps hide psoriasis but i dont want to go to a tanning bed, so i was wondering if self tanning lotion would help hide them?? anyone experiences with psoriasis and self tanning lotion?? how much does it cover if it does? im very light skin, btw. so, would i need a medium tone tanning lotion? i'd rather turn orange than have this though! thanks for the answers :)

  I've had psoriasis since I was 11..I'm 25 now. Self tanner is NOT going to help cover it...if you're like me, it will make it look worse!! It made it more noticeable and also irritated it. What definitely helps is being in the sun...but not for too long at one time. You don't want to burn b/c that makes the lesions VERY painful. Also make sure you're using lots of lotion or moisturizer where you do have psoriasis...and be sure it's unscented...lotion with shea butter in it works best :)
