Will my sunburn turn into a tan?

I got very badly burned today, on my back, legs, chest, and stomach. I put on tanning lotion before I layed out and I've been applying aloe every few hours since the burn. Will my sunburn turn into a tan or just fade? How do I get it to tan?

it depends what normally happens to you. i burn, and it just goes away. i don't get tan. but some people do.
you should put coco butter on it. it sothes it. my friend used mine and hers turned into a tan. but it depends what type of completion you have. she is fairer skinned so maybe that's why. but please go out get yourself some coco butter. it works wonders trust me. good luck babe. hope to have helped.
well you might look a little darker but red i dont think you would loose the red til the burn is gone but i think you will be little bit tan when its gone
Cool sunburned skin immediately. Step into a very cool shower or splash cool water on affected skin, right after you come in out of the sun. Cooling the burn minimizes damage to skin layers. Step 2 Apply aloe vera gel to the burn after you have showered. You can use the store-bought kind or use the juice directly from the aloe vera plant. Alternatively, you can spray the burn with diluted lavender or eucalyptus oil. Mix just a few drops to a cup of water and pour into a clean spray bottle. Shake well before using. Both lavender and eucalyptus are good for mild (first-degree) burns of any kind. Step 3 Wear loose, soft clothing that will not chafe the skin. Your skin will be fragile. To turn the burn into a tan, you must treat the skin delicately. Chafing or rubbing might damage deeper skin layers. Step 4 Apply aloe vera gel, lavender, or eucalyptus again before you go to bed. This will help your skin heal more during the night. Step 5 Take another cool shower the following morning. Apply a gentle, hypoallergenic moisturizer to the sunburned areas. Step 6 Moisturize as often as necessary each day after you get the sunburn, and drink plenty of water. Sunburns dry out the skin immensely. Staying hydrated inside and out keeps too many skin layers from dying and peeling. Step 7 Stay out of direct sunlight until your sunburn has healed. Sunburn on top of sunburn will delay the tan.
