How to get rid of ingrown hair on my tattoo?

  • i had a number of red spots on my tattoos due to ingrown hair. The hair follicle is stucked inside the red spots on my skin and i doubt they are growing out. Are there any ways to reduce the redness or scar? i have tried picking the hair follicle out with a needle but it just doesnt work as it's deep so i just give up n try to live with it instead. picking only worsens the area as it causes discoloration to my tattoos. do u guys recommend tattoo to cover up the red spots or are there any medical substance to heal the area affected? thanks guys!

    DON'T PICK!!! Soak with a warm compress. Don't put anything on it either. Applying ointments could damage the tattoo. Just let it do its thing.

that happens to me all the time when i get new tattoos, just wait until it heals, THEN pick it out. i usually just scratch at it until they come out, i don't suggest doing it but if that's how you want to go about it, go for it.

If your tattoo is still healing then leave it alone until the tattoo is done healing and try to keep up with your after care. Don't pick at it. If it's completely healed then try to pluck out the hair, if you can't do that then you may want to see a doctor and see if they can remove it.
