Will white tattoo ink glow under a black light?

Does anyone know anything about UV tattoo ink aka black light ink ?

  • Im a tattoo artist and i did a tattoo on another tattoo artist and instead of getting paid in money he gave me close to new inks the reasoning for him giving me the inks is because he dosnt use coloered inks in his art and one of these inks where uv inks (Skin Candy) invsiable ink. when i was at his house the ink was perfectly fine but after bringing it home and letting it sit it became very thick and comes out in clumps anyone have any idea if its good to use still if i shake it up good or not? and if so does anyone (other tattooest) know any good black light ink to use thanks.

  • Answer:

What I understand is that there are many problems with UV inks. They are synthetic, and they end up forming hard balls under the skin after a small amount of time from being tattooed. "These pigments are notoriously risky - some may be safe, but others are radioactive or otherwise toxic. " I would dump them. luck~

Hi We bought a bottle to try at our studio in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, with the skin candy it holds the chemical agents for the UV in the pigment so does need to be shaken like any other ink to get it to work properly. It does tend to come out the bottle a bit thick though even when you do shake the bottle. Andy
