Why do people think this about tattoos?

We live in a world that is full of judgemental people who could care less to get to know someone for who they really are. It completely makes me mad, but I'm not like that and am glad not to be one of those people and you should be glad too. Be strong and stand up for what you believe.

Getting tattoos on your face is over the limit? Tell that to some of my mates with a moko. It's an integral part of Maori culture. Anyway, that aside, I don't know why people think those things about tats. I have one on my right shoulder blade that at first sight looks pretty satanic, but actually a lot of thought went into it and it doesn't mean anything dark at all. I also plan to get another one, this time on my left shoulder blade. People just don't like what they don't understand.

It really depends how they were brought up as a kid. Some are told not to judge whereas others are the opposite. Sometimes it depends on what kind of tattoos a person has. A person may be looked at differently with a tattooed eyeball on your hand as to something that's a little more classy. For your second question idk how to really answer it because everyone has different views on tattoos. As for the whole unprofessional part about it, I belivethat if you are able to hide what your employer and co-workers cant see; you should be ok. I totally agree with you that some people do need to let up a bit. A lot of the times people get tattoos to remember important events or people that have made a significant impact in their life. And I believe that the people who think tattoos are wrong need to show some respect to anyone who has a tattoo. For all we know anyone can have a tattoo of Barney and it will be that person's way of keeping a person's (more likely a small child's) memory alive.

because they are tacky and most regret them either right away or yrs later. dont get one where it can be seen bc of work either. Sorry that is the reality. I am a liberal person do what you want but I think tacky but whould never get one or judge someone who does just hope that they like it years from now.

most of the successful people don't have them . more of the unsuccessful or thuggish type people tend to have them . The more religious people don't have them . much of it is stereotyping . personally I don't have any nor do I want any , they don't excite me temporary (henna) tattoos are available , they wear off in a few weeks or a month or so try them for awhile and see if that is what you really want forever
