How much would a really small tattoo cost?

  • I want to get a tattoo smaller than the width of my thumb and smaller than the length of a penny on my hand. how much would this cost? only asking cause i never got a tattoo before and when I was at vegas they cost a minimum of 100 dollars. thats vegas though and its overpriced up the nuts, so i was wondering how much it would for smaller tattoo parlors? btw, all the tattoo is going to be is a black dot and a curved line (makes a smiley face out of my mole)

    Most shops have minimums between $50-80. So I'd expect to pay at least that.

It will depend on the shop's minimum. Call around and see who has a lower minimum cost. The shop I got to only charges $30 as their minimum... but there are many shops that really raise the price. Also see if anyone is willing to do a trade in exchange for the tattoo.

I have a very small tattoo on my toe that I got done in Kentucky and it cost $50. That was their minimum.

My friend has a tattoo of a Chinese symbol and it's only about an inch tall. It cost her $45...I believe she got it done it Houston, Texas. So a very large city that had tons of options.
