Where should I get my tattoo?

Can't decide where to get my first tattoo?

  • I want to get a tattoo of a paw print in honor of my dog who died in 2010. I can't decide if I should get the tattoo on my right shoulder blade or my upper left thigh. I don't like the idea of my shoulder because the only time I would be able to see the tattoo is in the reflection of a mirror. As for my thigh I heard that getting a tattoo on your thigh hurts when it heals because your pant leg will rub against your thigh. Any advice as this will be my very first tattoo? I'm 19 years old btw and yes I have thought about getting this for awhile now.

  • Answer:

let me tell you i am 19 also and i have many tattoos and either way it goes any tattoo will hurt i think it would be really nice to get a tattoo on you thigh and about the pants just wear sweats or loose jeans that solves the problem.

Well have you ever had a shot from the doctor? Imagine getting a few thousand of them over and over and over right next to one another in the area of a tattoo. After all a tattoo is just a needle plunging into your flesh over and over and over with ink on it, permanently discoloring your flesh. That should give you an idea of what it would feel like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOaRIj6vIpQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmgyhGt8KTU http://www.av1611.org/tattoos/regret.html Don't do it! Look at it this way - if you had gotten a tattoo 10 years ago what would it have been of? Sponge Bob or something like that? How would you feel about having that tattoo for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE now? In 10 years from NOW I guarantee that you are not going to have the same taste that you do now, but if you get a tattoo you are going to be STUCK with it.

Sorry for your loss, some times pets can be as pain full to loose as a close family member. I think you should consider getting it in a spot that isn't too pain full, the shoulder or your arms would be easier then the thighs. Just to see how you can take the pain. If you wear loose fitting clothing against your tattoo then it shouldn't hurt too much while it's healing. If you do decide to get it done don't for get to get some after care instructions also really look around at portfolios and shops in your area.

If you get it on your thigh you can always have it covered by goz or a bandage or something thick so the friction doesn't hurt it. And as for the shoulder blade, that might look a little better in my opinion. I have one on my shoulder and I hate that I don't get to see it all of the time, but it's really a good place to put a tattoo.

Shoulders are cute. I've always wants one on my wrist though. something subtile. but like a pawprint sounds adorable on the shoulderblade <3

Get it on yr thigh and walk around naked for a while
