• I'm asking because i feel sorry for my boyfriend. He recently got a tattoo from some jerkoff who just thought he could get over on him. He lied to my boyfriend and told him he used to work with his uncle, ( a well known artist in fl) so my boyfriend trusted him. he gave him a horrible tattoo, so horrible his boss fired him for it when my boyfriend went back for a refund. And his uncle doesn't even know the guy! he's been talking about getting it removed since he got it.

  Do yourself a favor? File a law suit against this guy for a bad tattoo, report to the Better Business Bureau in your district and report this bad business. Also to have it removed is a tough go, painful, more than getting one, and it is no guarantee to get it all off. The best idea if possible is to cover it up with another tattoo from a reputable shop or artist. Look at the work first and get referances as well from the some of the Customer's as well. It will cost a few thousand at least depending on the size of the tattoo, but if you cover it up with something nice, then do that. Having it removed is apparently more painful than getting a tattoo, and part of it is still their, so I would opt to cover it up and never do it again. Get this guys name that botched it, His first and last name (say you need it for a recommendation-but you don't obviously) and file a suit (law) against him. Find other customer's that have had botched tattoo's (that will be harder unless you get a supena (court order) from the courts for your court date. Have him pay to have it removed or at least compensation is a for sure. Get a good lawyer...you are going to win. Good Luck and all the best.
