What are some good tattoo ideas to cover up scars?

• I've looked at a few answers on here already, and I'm not finding what I'm looking for. I wanted to get a tattoo on my shoulder to cover up some self - harm scars that I'm better off without. There's smaller white scars down to my t-shirt line that aren't bothersome, but some darker ones near the top of my arm. I've been to rehab, gotten myself sorted out, yada yada. Don't give me any crap about figuring out my life first. I just want to cover them up, and since I've wanted a tattoo since I was little and saw my grandfather's cartoon tat of Yosemite Sam from the Looney Tunes, it just seemed like a good call to put it on my shoulder where A) it would cover up some scars and B) I could hide it under a t-shirt for work if I had to. Covering my my shoulder ALL the time for scars is getting old. I don't want anything cute and girly. No flowers, no hearts, butterflies or whatever else is sugary and sweet. Something that would give my mom a reason to say yes instead of no. I'd prefer a quote, and not just one word. If it helps you come up with something, I was thinking about getting "TWLOHA" in black (would that cover up the scars better?) and getting "rescue is possible" under it with some thin blue / black design lines like on some of their shirts. I've seen some things I like, but I'm just unsure by all the possibilities. I wanted something that was original and it'd help if you could just give me something to work off of. If you haven't got a serious comment to answer my question then don't bother to reply; I'd rather not deal with B.S.
