Answer:
it will not hurt you, it can be done. a friend of mine's hubby was murdered. she put his ashes in a tattoo. nothing bad happened. when a body is burned, all bacteria is killed too. ashes are completely sterile. this is fact. its just a way to keep him with you at all times. if you want to do it, by all means do it. dont listen to the kids on here who have no knowledge of anything. it can be done, a good parlor will do it for you, ask around. you will not get a disease, or start to do the things that he did. if is just symbolic. if it were me, i would do it in a heart beat. :)

I dont think it will have any bad effects at all. The cremation will not leave any infectious materials behind.. And ashes are simply carbon soot, which has been the basis for black tattoo ink since Neanderthals first started tattooing each other.

It wouldn't give you a disease, but it's not the most sanitary thing to put in your body. Don't do it. Do a memorial tattoo instead.

It can be done but it is not a wise decision to be be made. There have been lots of reports that people got tattoo with their love ones ashes as a form of memorializing the deceased love ones. When a body is cremated it does not made into a fine ashes like dust but more of pebble. You need to sift out the larger ones and use only fine ashes. Even if the cremation process undergo high temperature it is not still 100 percent bacteria free, you still need to sterilize it prior to use. Beside from tattoo, you could have your father in you by having a cremation jewelry. It will allow you to store some of the ashes in it and wear it.

It's a request we get every so often. I haven't seen anyone suffer ill effects from it yet. You just mix a very tiny, tiny amount of ash into the black ink. Just a little, and do the tattoo. To date, no one I know has complained of any complications.
