Should I not get any more tattoos if my boyfriend doesn't like tattoos?

  • I know people are going to say I should do what I want no matter what my boyfriend says, but hear me out. He never told me not to get tattoos and he never stops me. I got one, but he doesn't like it. He says he doesn't hate it or think it's ugly, he just says he is not a tattoo kind of guy. I guess that is understandable, because never used to be a tattoo person either, but one day, I just started falling in love with tattoos. Thing is, I want to get a few more in the future. I can understand why he doesn't like them. They just don't seem very feminine, sweet, womanly, etc. He never said this, but I am assuming this is why he doesn't like tattoos??? We have been together for over 4 years now, and we are pretty committed to each other. Neither of us see ourselves splitting ANY time soon. But because of this.... I feel like I shouldn't get more. I feel like if I do, I would disappoint him and he wouldn't say anything, of course, but deep down inside I know he will be... And no, we are not teens. We are in our 20s. Any advice? Should I stop getting tattoos now?

    The thing is, you need to do what you want to do. He will love you for whatever you put on your body, (or atleast he should), and you should be happy with yourself. If you want more, you get more. Cause if he truely loves you he'll stick with you even if you paste yourself in tatts!

If getting tattoos is something that you're really into to express yourself then I say keep doing it. If it's really that important to you, you shouldn't let someone stop you from doing what you want/like. But if you just get tattoos for the hell of it because you think it's cool, then idk your boyfriend might have a point. If I were you I would sit down and have a talk with him to find out why he really doesn't want you getting anymore.

i think that should do whatever the hell you want. Its a tattoo on YOU not HIM so its not really his business and if he cares about you then he'll want you to be happy and clearly tattoos make you happy so go for it, get a hundred
