First tattoo advice please?

What should i get for my first tattoo?

  • what i really would like to get is a tattoo on my inside hip area. i don't really have anything meaningful so thats not really my objective but would still really like a tattoo. advice i heard from some people were to get both my hips done with the same tattoo to make it symmetrical but i'm not sure if i'd like that either because my first thought was to get it only on one side. so far i narrowed down my tattoo design to be this nice looking star design. i really like it and if i were to get a tattoo it would be that. i'd like to hear advice from other people so please comment. also i'll be getting a temporary tattoo of my design so i can see what it looks like first. thanks.

    The idiot above me that says you're going to for sure regret it is an ***, so ignore the troll.. The temp tattoo idea is a good one.. Also make sure that you think about it for a while before getting it done.. I think about mine for a good six months before getting anything done. Check out http://www.bmezine.com/media/photo/tattoo/ and see if you like a few pieces on there, or check out www.deviantart.com under their tattoo section, and maybe look up hip tattoos or something :) PLEASE do not out right copy someone's stuff... bring in a few pictures that you like, and let your tattoo artist work with you to come up with something that combinds all of them, or get something similar

Don't get a tattoo for fashion or aesthetic reasons. You'll regret it. Take a look at your parents photos from their wedding. (Since I'm assuming you're around 16-20) Even just look at their glasses. Fashion and style change. Look at picture of yourself from 10 years ago. Get something that's going to mean something to you for your whole life or you'll regret it.

Get one that best fits your personality, it would look better than one that didn't fit your personality at all. Just think about that when your getting it done. Hope this helps you (:
