Medical Alert Tattoos: Whats your opinion?

Whats your opinion on these tattoos?

• Im turning 18 this year and are allowed to start getting tattoos. My first tattoo I wanted to be is of the Sun Kachina (link to image and description, the one I am talking about is at the bottom of the list, http://www.whats-your-sign.com/sun-symbols.html ). I was thinking of upper rib cage like under the bra strap kind of position. Meaning behind why I want this specific image is because I have been struggling for a few years with my life and all and it represents how I have grown into the person I am now and are fulfilling what I can. The next tattoo I want is off the silhouette black birds. I would like it positioned from the right side of my lower back and up my rib cage abit. The meaning behind this tattoo for me is the freedom, and once again its to do with problems within my life. Another tattoo is on my left side rib cage saying "And those who were seen dancing were thought to be be insane by those who could not hear the music" quoted by Friedrich Nietzsche. Once again meaning is to do with struggles in my life. Another is upper left arm underneath (im not sure how you explain the position), the tattoo will say "Nobody can hurt me without my permission" quoted by Gandhi but it will be written in Hindi, कोई भी मेरी अनुमति के बिना मुझे चोट कर सकते हैं. Meaning behind this tattoo is that I am taking control of my life. In later years if I had kids I would be wanting there names and birth dates tattooed on my bag

  They all seem like good tattoo ideas. The only thing that I would think about is that the meaning behind them all seem similar. Why don't you pick the one you have wanted the longest and get that tattooed and wait awhile for the next one. Something may pop up and you might want to get that more than something you got. Personally, I put the image as the background on my computer for one year before I let myself get it tattooed. There are so many things I wanted to get but waited and now I am really glad I never got them tattooed! People evolve. I like the idea of my body being a patchwork of art from different periods in my life. You might want to re-think before you get them all at once. I only have three so far, but I am young and got my first one on my 18th birthday. Another thing is to make sure that it is timeless. Don't base any decisions off of trends. And wait until you find a good tattoo artists. You pay for what you get. Make sure what you want fits in with the portfolio of the tattooer. Pay special attention to the sharpness of lines. They are the things that need to age the best! Good luck!
