Do you have a tattoo? what is it and what did it mean to you ?

i have 3 tattoos at the moment the first one i got was when i just turned 18. I got 2 roses wrapped around each other one is blue and one is red. Roses are my favorite flower so that's why i decided to get that one. My mom passed away when i was 13 and i wanted to get something in memory of her. I got angel wings on my back because i feel in my heart she is my guardian angel. I love the band avenged sevenfold and i wanted to get the bands symbol. I'm also i high school freshman. I don't have any tattoos yet but i plan to get two next yr when i turn 16. I plan to get the music symbol: treble clef on my right hip and a music note on my left hip. I'm Jenn and I have 3 tattoos. My first is a heart with wings on the small of my back. I was 19 and my best friend from high school and I went together and got the same tattoo. She is the only person from my high school that I have regularly kept up with so it still means friendship to me. My second is a butterfly on the front side of my left hip. I got it when I was 21 just because I wanted to. I got to my b/f at the time's house around 3 a.m. after having it done and got a call at 6. The most wonderful women in the world to me had passed away early that morning. For me it is a reminder of her, and never taking tomorrow for granted. It can still just fly away. My third I just got last year. It is a four leaf clover in the center of my back between my shoulder blades. It has my 3 children's initials in 3 of the leave. The fourth leaf has the japanese letter for my married last name. It something I plan to build on as my children grow and have their own. For me it's about family and the same part of irish I have in me.

My name is Tanya. I have two tattoos. First one is a small black dragon on the left side of my lower abdomen. I've loved dragons since I was a small kid. They represent strength and they are guardians. Mine is strength...I got it after my mom had colon cancer operation and when everything ended up well. The second tattoo is a phoenix on the right side of my back, below the waist. It's black and white, and only the flames around it are in color. This one is around eight inches. It was done after a big change in my personal life (regarding my love life and my carrier) and it represents rebirth and new hope.

I guess I don't quite qualify for this yet, but I am getting my first tattoo this week. The tattoo is lyrics from the song "Seize The Day" by Avenged Sevenfold. The tattoo design I created has text above a design in the background. It says "Seize the day or die regretting" in a gorgeous cursive font. Centered in the back there is a skull with a star on both sides. The tattoo has more than one meaning to me. First of all, I absolutely love Avenged Sevenfold. They are by far my favorite band. I grew up around pretty much just hip hop and pop. Basically just whatever was "cool" on the radio. Everyone at school listened to it and it was weird to listen to anything else. My boyfriend was the exact same way until a friend of his brother introduced us to the music of Avenged Sevenfold. Everything changed then. I stopped caring about living up to other people's standards and liked what I wanted to like. My boyfriend took up guitar and now we both absolutely LOVE rock. I just wish I hadn't been so close-minded and ignorant before. So basically, Avenged Sevenfold changed me in so many ways. Their music opened my eyes. Secondly, the quote itself is something I love from one of my favorite songs. The whole song is about appreciating what you have now because it can all be gone before you know it. It's about living life and thinking about the consequences of your actions. To me, that includes the way I changed from the way I was before I listened to rock to how I am now. I used to care too much about what people thought and I was unhappy. Now I live MY life the way I want to and I am much happier then before. I am going to live my life to the fullest and how I want to so that when I'm a lot older I don't look back with regret and say I should have done things I was too scared to do. The skull is there partly because I love them in designs and because it ties in with the whole Avenged Sevenfold thing. The band has a sort of "logo" called a Death Bat which is a skull with wings. I didn't want the wings though and stars have always been my favorite shape so I added those instead. And there ya go. By the way, my name is Sherry. Good luck on your paper <3
