Chlorine and fresh ink=fading and bleeding and touch ups. Ideally you should follow your artist's post care to a T, but you can wrap it in plastic food wrap (cling film, Saran wrap etc) and medical waterproof tape around each end - wrist and forearm) and up the seam in the middle (if that makes visual sense). It hopefully won't leak, but will be moist after as your skin will sweat under. Rinse with plain water and let it dry out completely after (unless you're at the point of adding lotion or aloe). Fingers crossed for you, maybe you can keep that arm out of the water?
it seems you didn't think out the timing of your tattoo very well although you wont look the pinnacle of cool with my suggestion, wearing a rubble glove, be it surgical or washing up, and sealing it with cling film and tape should keep the water out. obviously i suggest it you aren't supposed to get the area wet then you postpone whatever you are doing for the duration but i understand this may not be an option
Wrap your wrist in saran wrap and secure that with duct tape.
you get surgical covers for when you break a limb and have a cast on that is your best bet i really really do not recommend you go in the pool though nothing will keep it dry for 3 hours and you are at Very high risk of infection and all that chlorine is not good for it either its a REALLY bad idea
Okay, really? This may be harsh but it's true. You are the kind of person non-tattooed people love to bring up to try to make tattooed people look stupid. You couldn't have planned your tattoo appointment a little bit better? Stick a Tegaderm bandage over it and hope you don't get a raging infection from going in a pool with an open f***ing wound.
How about the bandage that you paint on..I can't remember what it's called but it's like skin. I wouldn't try the duct tape thing unless you want some of your own skin removed when you take it off. You really shouldn't be in a pool with new ink. It's a great way to get a new staph infection.
they sell water proof bandages its not just a waterproof bandaid it forms a seal around the area
