Answer:
You do realize that a sewing needle is a different gauge then a standard lip ring. But good luck with that. I'm sure your dad would be proud.

well.. first you should check out these links i put in the source box, so you can get an idea of what you're getting yourself into.. you can also google it for more info, it's actually helpful. honestly i think you shouldn't do it alone anyway.. buuut if you really want to then DON'T do it with a sewing needle.. it's much more trouble and blabla. If your dad's a doctor then try getting a cannula, the gauge for it depends on your lipring gauge.. but anyway it's much better! And of course.. sterilize everything, wash your hands thoroughly and so on.. After you pierce it, leave it in for a few minutes before inserting the lipring so it doesn't close up so easily if you have trouble inserting the jewelery. well, that being said.. have fun! hope it turns out the way you want it :)
You really shouldn't pierce it yourself. It's much safer to get if pierced by someone who knows where and how to pierce it.
get it pierced as close to tha back so u can flip it up in your nose to hid it and u can do it wit a needle u have to force tha lip ring in tho to streach out the hole i kno cuz i periced my lip wit a needle like dat and i had to streach out tha hole.
you can put any type of body jewlery anywhere. i think the piercing i had for my septum was also a lipring? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2481/3644413529_c17d0ec854.jpg but what i did, is i used a safety pin, kept it in for 30 minutes, then quickly took it out and put in the piercing. thats what always works for mee ! and they never get infected cuz you musssstt clean it
um the needle is too small. i dnt think it will work. because the lip ring is much thicker. idk go somewhere to get it done.

If you HAVE to hide it because of your parents than you're obviously not mature enough to have this piercing. Self piercing is a big mistake. A sewing needle won't be big enough to fit a lip ring in the hole, you'll also lose the hole whilst attempting to put the jewelery in. After piercing your septum with a sewing needle, you'll have the trouble of stretching the newly pierced hole and putting the jewelery in. Honestly, I'm all for self piercing if the person has experience. Not if it's some little teenager piercing themselves because mummy and daddy won't go with them to get a piercing. You have no experience, do some research kid. Or go into Blue Banana, and enjoy infection!
