What is the meaning of a feather tattoo?

I am really interested in getting a tattoo...?

  Ultimately, it needs to mean something to you. Your tattoo is a representation of who you are and what you believe. I have a few quotes that I like, and I've seen the feather tattoos and am a big fan, I think any of these quotes would look great with that.
