Is it wrong to have tattoos that are dedicated to the deceased?

Forearm tattoos on women?

  • I have a tattoo on each upper arm and 2 on my chest. They can all be easily hidden, but I want to get one on my left inner forearm. We're not talking tiny little cutesy, I'm talking bigger. Taking up a majority of my forearm, but its still beautiful. All of my tattoos are dedicated to my little brother that committed suicide in september, so my tattoos are extremely sentimental and dont compare in pain to the emotional pain I experienced. Im 19, and still have plenty of time to decide what I want my career to be. I'm more of a free spirit. Into art, music, animals, etc. I'm going to major in broadcast journalism/ radio. I figure you only live once, and life is too short and precious NOT to do the things you want because of others' opinions. I don't want to avoid getting it just because of POSSIBLE regret. Its just the kind of person I am. Im pretty set on it obviously, but should I seriously reconsider?

    My tattoo takes up my whole left inner forearm and it looks great. You have to get used to it looking a little crooked when you hold your arm straight out, palm up, but it will be straight with your arm down. Go for it, I don't regret mine at all.

i always think when i get tattoos, live for the moment and dont think abut how you might regret it later in life, if you thought that way you'd never do anything! personally i wouldnt get a forearm tattoo, im female but got muscly arms so i just think it'd make me look like a navvy, but its personal choice and your body!

no one will look down on you for getting a memorial tattoo of family members. im really sorry for your loss :( and i say go for it. its a permanent reminder of the love you have for him. i think its sweet
