Is my tongue ring normal?

Is it possible for your tongue to swell after switching a tongue ring?

  • so i got my tongue pierced a week ago an the swelling of my tongue went down im pretty sure, an i want to try an put in a regular tongue ring if i take out my long one an put in a shorter bar an the bar doesnt fit my tongue will it swell if i put the long bar back in? or what if it does fit an i leave it in, im scared that ill wake up the next day an it will swell up for some reason is that possible?

    Your not supposed to change the bar for at least 3 months. So of course it is going to chill.

If it is still sore, I would wait, but when changing jewelry make sure it is clean and using mouthwash wouldn't hurt.

Yea, Im pretty sure ur supposed to wait longer than a week before switching anyways... I realize the long bar blows but it has to heal... and even after the first year with mine everytime i changed my barbell it would swell for a day or so... but for time being u should put ur long barbel back in and let it heal for the time ur piercer told u, or ur gonna end up screwing it up and having to take it out
