How long after you get a tattoo laser removed do you have to wait to get another tattoo in the same place?

I"m going to get my tattoo on my wrist lasered off cause i wasn't happy with it. But i want to get another tattoo in the same spot. How long after do i have to wait???

I am actually in the process of laser treatments with the intention of a cover up, and according to my doctor 6 months is a safe bet. Simply put, the laser wont effect the new ink, since it was not treated with the laser. You just want to let your body heal completely, and flush out the ink that was blasted. Give it some thought tho, depending on the size of the tattoo, the colors, and the location, it is a pretty painful process. Much worse than the initial tattoo.

You are aware that if you want a tattoo in the same spot....you can just get one over that one...You dont need to get it lasered off.
