    Get something that actually means something to you. If you don't you will regret it later in life. I am 24 and I plan on getting my first tattoo in the next few months. I have wanted a tattoo ever since I found out what they were but never had anything significant to put on me that I wouldn't regret until now. So just think it through before you make a final decision. Also think about what job you want then think about where you want to put it

Even though tattoos are more in vogue now than ever, there are still stereotypes that go with them. At your age, I'd think twice about getting something that isn't easily covered in professional clothing. Many places are developing more and more stringent restrictions on visible tattoos; you still have a career ahead of you. I'm a tattooist and covered in tattoos but was careful where I put them until I was in a career that was tolerant of them. Just think long and hard about the design and placement.
