What should i do if this happens while bidding on ebay?

SHOULD I SELL ON EBAY ?

• Hello I have tons of new clothes and accessories WITH TAGS just sitting in my room. I would like to sell them. I was wondering would you guys recommend ebay? I got kind of scared when someone told me ebay takes most of the money from your auction, after the bidding is over ? BUT im not sure of that info. I was also wondering what happens is an item does not get any bids ? will ebay still take fees ? I guess I just need some info. on how ebay works.

  ebay takes a percentage of the selling price. this is called "final value fee" they ALSO charge you to list the item, depending on price you start. this is called "insertion fee". the lower you start the lower the fee. they have been having free listing days recently so you can try to wait for another one but no telling when it will happen in the future. if your item doesnt sell, then they dont charge the final value fee, but the keep the insertion fee whether it sells or not. in addition to the ebay fees, there is paypal fee which is a percentage of the total cost including shipping. 2.9% + $0.30 for each transaction you can make money you just need to do research, figure how much you desire to make, add in the fees. definitely research shipping costs because a lot of newbies dont know and wind up eating the cost for undercharging for shipping. for your items you will want to use USPS (mail). if it is 13 oz or under you can ship first class mail. over that you will use parcel post or priority mail http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html
