When and how is our economy going to improve?

How is Obama stimulus going to improve economy i doubt it?

  • Obama says his stimulus would provide an extra $13 a week in worker paycheck. $13 an extra week means nothing. It really does not do anything. Seriously. And then building roads, bridges, highways is not going to help YOU economically either. That has nothing to do with creating jobs or lift recession. Then environmental friendly strategies, energy spending etc etc will not help economy at all. Also the bailing out of banks will not help. 600,000 jobs were lost last month and this month likely more will be lost. Also Obama says his package will create or save 3.5 million jobs. That's another myth.

    go live in Africa or Iraq if you dont like the way our government runs & you'll find out how good you realy have it. you live in the best country in the world and you're complaining.give it up.they're are millions of people wishing they could be you, seriously!

Instead of being honest (and Barry had plenty of chances) he went one step further in his brazen arrogance and said there were no earmarks in here...and even if there were....(wait..didn't he say there were none?) there has never been a bill of this size without them. Well, he would be right in one respect: there has never been a bill this big. So, it's all semantics. Kind of like "define sex".

I don't know if it will work or not either. I don't think no one knows if it will work. But infrastructure jobs will help. Its about additional jobs. People who get these jobs will eat at local restaurants, shop at local stores who were hit big time by these big lay offs. If that big bank layofff people thats less customers for restaurants accross streets. So, if these small business generate revenue, hire employee, the cylcle continues. So these infrastructure jobs will help and help rebuild aging bridges and roadways. But things you list why do you think they're so useless? This reminds me exactly what happened just before Bush's Iraq surge. And how much did we suffer from 4 dollar/gallon? Trying to avoid future energy price spike with more R & D, I think is worth it.

According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, the stimulus plan will work. My concern is the tens of thousands of parents who will lose their jobs. This will throw many families into turmoil, and I fear for the children. Keeping tens of thousands of children healthy and in two-parent homes is one sweet benefit of the stimulus program.
