Will Santorum being on CREW's list of most corrupt politicians hurt his election chances?

  • Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington voted Santorum one of our most corrupt politicians in 2005 and 2006, only three senators made the list. Does this type of thing hurt a candidate in todays world?

    Yes it will but not so much in the primary process. Fellow GOP candidates will probably not want to go *this* negative because it is unflattering to the GOP in general and he is not a genuine threat to Romney or Paul just yet. But if Santorum's 2012 Iowa success translates to a serious bid for the general nomination, the attacks from Democrats and other candidates might get nasty enough to dig this up. YES, but only after the media decides to report this - which they might do after Santorum has fulfilled his usefulness by blocking RON PAUL in socially conservative states. Willard Romney is the anointed one and Santorum's time is limited. Don't worry about him though - he'll get paid well on the speaker circuit, with a book deal and possibly a show on the Fix News channel.

Until you provide a link, I'm not wasting my time believing you. As for Santorum, he did a pretty good job for us here in PA but I do not support him due to his stance on some issues. But there's no denying he did a good job in Washington for us.
