Is it possible to get rid of my kyphosis?
-
My dad has kyphosis and he passed it down to me and my sister i heard that genetic kyphosis is impossible to cure without surgery but ive also heard that it hurts very much when you try to straighten your back mine does not the personal trainer at my gym told me that if i kept up a healthy diet and kept stretching out my shoulder muscles with yoga that it should fix itself is this possible or am i just wasting my time?

Answer:
There are different types of kyphosis. There are also treatment options other than surgery depending upon the degree of kyphosis. The options available to you and your sister are different than those for Dad. Go to mayoclinic.com for further information. Time spent avoiding future pain is never wasted.
