What is this sharp pain above my left breast when breathing in?

Sharp pain by heart when I take a deep breath?

• Sometimes when I take a breath I get a very sharp and scary pain beneath my left breast, like it's above the heart or near the heart and it's almost like a bubble that will pop if I keep breathing in deep. So I have to sit still and wait until it goes away, but usually it feels like a kind of pop inside when I try to keep breathing normal. Then it's just a bit achey after that in that area. It hasn't been happening a lot but it happened twice today. I am getting an ultrasound on Monday for some abodminal pain I have been having over the past few weeks. Not sure if this is related. Any ideas to what it could be?

  I have been having this problem since I was a kid (I'm 31 now) and just today I had it after more than a year. It is called Precordial Catch Syndrome and is painful, but harmless.
