Heavy Backpack making shoulders ache?

Shoulder ache when i sleep on new mattress..?

  • i've just bought a new mattress and it felt really soft and comfy in the shops but when i slept on it last night for the first time it is making my shoulders ache. its not causing back pain or neck pain just an aching in my shoulders and i have to turn regularly to try and stop it. it is not a really firm mattress but not a really soft one either. does anyone know what it could be causing this? have i chose the wrong mattress? or is it just a case of getting used to the new one my old mattress was 12 years old. please can someone help with this

  • Answer:

Sounds like a case of a bad mattress. If the store you bought it from has offered you a comfort trial, you should be able to observe your condition for at least one month. If the mattress is really not comfortable, you can give it back and have it changed into something softer or firmer. It can also be caused by your pillow. If your pillows are stacked too high, it can make your shoulders ache.
