Having swollen fingers ocassionally when I wake up in the morning?

When i wake up in the morning my fingers fell swollen but aren't but it is painful to move my fingers?

  • I cant make a fist for approx 10 mins after getting up. my knuckles are painful for up to a couple of hours. last week i fell asleep on the settee in the afternoon and when i woke i could not move my fingers again. i dont sleep on my hands. anyone else suffer from this and know whats wrong ?
