How to get rid of my extremely sensitive/ticklish neck?

7 years ago i had a discectomy in my neck with a fusion.it has been hurting again..should i get it checked out?

  • 7 years ago i had 2 discs taken out of my neck...a donor bone for a fusion, and titanium plates in screws were put in as well...it worked wonderfully after a few months of recovery...the pain i had before that was unbearable...lately my neck has been very stiff...every morning i wake up with the worse stiffness, and it is painful while giving me a headache...the neck is very sore and stiff all the time now...i have to roll up a towel and put it on the back of my neck and lay back to get some relief...sometimes when i move my neck or turn it i get a very sharp pain that makes me have to stop what i am doing for a few seconds till it goes away...i am sure arthritis has set in, but could the plates and screws or the fusion be going bad?...should i have my neck checked out to make sure everything is ok?...can that surgery go bad after some years?...any suggestion?...the pain is stiffness is giving me a constant headache and making me feel very exhausted...thanks in advance for your answers...
