How long does tendonitis last?

HOW LONG IS PAIN SUPPOSED TO LAST IF I HAVE TENNIS ELBOW/TENDONITIS?

• I popped my elbow a week ago, had a splint and got a MRI yesterday. Results wont be ready till tomorrow. It did still hurt yesterday at my MRI when they put it at this angle. How long is the supposed to last? Cause now when I straighten it, it doesn't hurt. Could I still have one of the 2 problems and the pain is going but still needs to be treated?

  Tendinitis sticks around until you release the tendons. It usually releases half way on it's own but that makes it prone to happen again and again where if you release it it is fully released and not so prone to happen again. If they haven't shown you how to release your tendon then here's how: Hold that arm out in front of you, slightly bent so it's kind of loose under the arm. With your other hand spread your thumb and fingers about an inch and press up under your arm, about 2 inches up from the elbow, so that they press up to the bone and slowly close them. You should be tight on the tendon there and squeeze fairly tight and hold. Now relax your body, take a deep breath and exhale, then remain this relaxed. After 45 seconds slowly bend your arm up as far closed as it will go, then release the pressure but continue to hold your arm bent for another 30 seconds.
