Feeling of a lump in my throat, please help?

PLEASE HELP!?? Lump feeling in throat?

  • Okay so I got a sore throat on Friday. Saturday got tested and I have strep. Yesterday I got medicin. My symptoms I have had this weekend so far are - pus and white sperm lookin stuff on my throat - swollen hurting throat - ringing and crackling ears - headache - fever - gas so today I gargles with poroxide and water and my throat doesn't hurt when I swallow anymore but it does feel like there is a small lump that is slowly climbing up and when it gets to the top I want to swallow. It tastes like the creamof wheat I had for breakfast. And I can't cough it up. Is this normal with strep throat?

  • Answer:

Hi strep throat can make your throat very sore almost unbearable, there will be pus, headache, fever, very tired, and you can ache all over too. The ringing and crackling in your ears could be the infection. The gas is probably being caused from your antibiotic. Some antibiotics will upset the tummy. The lump feeling in your throat could be the strep, but just keep on eye on it and if it gets worse or you feel like you can't breathe good or that your throat is swelling up tight go to the ER immediately. What that would mean is that you are allergic to the antibiotic that they put you on. Take care i hope you feel better soon. Antibiotic usually take 72 hours before you feel really good. Good Luck.
