Chest pain? uncomfortable?

Can anyone help me with a strange pain in my chest with referred pain in my jaw?

• I first started getting a pain in the centre of my chest around 11-12 years ago. At the time I spoke to a local doctor here in the UK who asked me to chart my food intake for a week to see if something was triggering the pain. Unfortunately, they drew a blank. The pain presents itself at any time of the day or night, whether I am lying down, sitting up or moving around. There does not seem to be any pattern to it. The only way I can describe the pain is it is like someone has placed a uninflated balloon inside my chest and is blowing it up beyond the capacity of my torso. These episodes can last a couple of minutes or sometimes they can last 30-40 minutes or more. I also seem to get a pain in my right lower jaw whenever I get the chest pain. Only ever my right lower jaw too. I did go through a spell of about 6 or 7 years of not experiencing this pain and only recently have started feeling the pain again on a regular basis. By this I mean every day, sometimes several times a day. It's probably important to note that I have Myasthenia gravis. Though I started getting this pain in 1997/1998 and I did not get any symptoms of MG until 2002. I had thought my thymus gland may have been responsible (location of pain in the same area) but had a thymectomy in 2003 and still getting the pain. It is also worth noting that I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with my second child and I do not remember getting this pain as frequently or at all with my first pregnancy. I know I should go and see a doctor but would really like some advice about what it might be given that previous doctors have drawn a blank. Thanking you in advance.

  My son's sternum will dislocate with the front of his ribs and he describes a similar feeling in his chest, I do not remember if he has pain in his jaw, but it would make sense that some transference of pain might occur. I'd check with a good chiropractor.
